Tencel fabric is very special. This has not only to do with the fabric itself. Tencel is a 100% natural material that is produced sustainably. Good for people and the environment. The terms 'Tencel' and 'Lyocell' are often used interchangeably. This is not surprising, because in fact it is the same thing. Officially it is called Lyocell, but it is marketed under the name Tencel. It is a 'natural man-made fibre'. It is made of wood pulp from eucalyptus trees. Tencel fabric is light and soft, but also strong and comfortable. The fabric 'breathes' and that is pleasant in both winter and summer. Tencel fabric absorbs water better than cotton, but dries faster.
