Tencel fabric is very special. This is not only due to the fabric itself. Tencel is a 100% natural material that is produced sustainably. Good for people and the environment. The terms 'Tencel' and 'Lyocell' are often used interchangeably. This is not surprising, because in fact it is about the same thing. Officially it is called Lyocell, but it is marketed under the name Tencel. It is made from wood pulp derived from eucalyptus trees. Tencel fabric is light and soft, but also strong and comfortable. The fabric 'breathes' and that is pleasant in both winter and summer. Tencel fabric absorbs water better than cotton, yet dries faster.
