Bouclé

Bouclé fabrics are our absolute favourite. This beautiful woven fabric with different coloured threads and thicknesses, is typical for Chanel-Style jackets. Bouclé is strong and hardly wrinkles, so it's ideal for clothing. This fabric is perfect for jackets, ponchos or coats for the cooler days. Tips & Tricks: Use a walking or rolling foot on your sewing machine. This helps to move the fabric as you sew and the rolling foot prevents the needle from getting caught in the open-structure fabric. Use 90/14 needles for the sewing machine. Use fusible interfacing to reinforce. Be very careful with ironing and pressing; Bouclé fabrics can easily be damaged if ironed too hot or pressed too hard.
